Tinkerbell in a Walmart toilet

self-explanatory? sort of. I was at Walmart today and I had to use the bathroom. Phoebe accompanied me into the stall, along with her little Tinkerbell figurine. As I sat down, just about to pee, she falls forward and Tinkerbell goes right between my legs and into the john. It was a dilema, for about a split second. Though, if you know me, I have no bladder control, which means going to another stall was not an option. It was either pee on Tinkerbell, never get her out and ruin the toilet... or... yes, reach in there and grab her out, then do my bizness. I went with the second option. Tinkerbell and my hands got washed 5 times, literallly, and yep, I gave it right back to her to shut her up so I could shop.

Hair cuts, vomit and holey walls

This all happened within an hour last Thursday. I am just getting around to putting the pictures on here because they were not on a memory card, but just my camera's memory. Let's start out with the lovely new haicut. I was doing laundry and Daphne was in the kitchen coloring and cutting paper. Remember how I said she wasn't naughty? Apparently she waited until she was 4. I come out of my room from folding clothes and see she has chopped a big chunk out of the front of her hair. I got mad at her, but was laughing inside. Not normal for me. Normally I probably would have freaked out. I guess after 3 kids (and some anxiety meds) I have finally figured out some things aren't worth losing it over. I made her come into my bathroom so I could take out the ponytail and see the damage. It was worse than I thought. She chopped all over the place. I asked why she did it and she responded "It was hangin in my face and I was tryin to color". Logically, in a 4 years olds mind, i guess that means you cut it off. I asked her if she wanted to shave her head, like dad, and we could call her Dan and she could be a boy. I guess this set something off in her, and she lost it. I really didn't mean to make her cry, but I wanted her to NEVER do it again. I reassured her we weren't going to shave her head, but that now her hair looks silly and will for a while.

This is how much hair she cut from various places on her head.

She was mad I was making her take pictures.

I decided to give them all a bath so I could just cut off her hair into a bob. I figured that was my best option. As the three little naked bodies were running to the bathroom, Daphne decided to do something to Phoebe and makes her cry. She keeps crying and suddenly barfs spaghetti and chocolate cake on the carpet, 3 inches before she could have gotten the tile in the bathroom. Of course. I ask Faye to hand me some toilet paper to clean it up, and she uses the TP holder as something to pull herself up and busts it completely out of the wall. Seriously? All this in an hour? I don't even need to get mad at Faye because she punishes herself. She kept bawling and saying sorry over and over. I have to tell her, i'm not mad, it was an accident. So I clean up the barf while the girls are in the tub. After they are done, we chop off about 3 inches of lenght on Daphne's hair.

And here it is a week later and I was up half the night with a barfing Daphne. Karma is getting her back for making Phoebe throw up. I don't know what is up with us. I was in and out of the bathroom most of yesterday, but not for barf. Gross, I know, but I try to look on the bright side, I probably lost 3 pounds.

Faye's new pics

Since I wasn't happy with Faye's school pics (becuase I didn't know it was picture day) and since I had good experiences with Target, I decided to get hers done again. $12 later, and I am pretty happy with the results.
Is February over yet? It is in my book. I am hoping by my changing to St. Patty's day it will somehow make the blizzard outside stop. Doesn't seem to be working.

The finale

Tonight was my last fondant class and here is my final cake. Ta-da! Funny that the first 2 cakes I did were much harder and I didn't even know what I was doing.... well I still don't, not on the baking aspect anyway. If I could get someone else to do the baking and getting the cake all perfect, and then I just get to decorate. That would be perfect. Any takers?
Daphne's preschool mates get to enjoy the spoils tomorrow.

Brown to Hazel-ish

So apparently my eyes are changing colors. Faye told me a while back I had green in my eyes, but I honestly didn't pay attention. After Aprils comment I decided to take a REALLY close up picture of my eyeball (yes, i'm getting wrinkles, blah!). Lo and behold, I do. Weird right? How do your eyes just change color anyway? I was meaning that Phoebe's eyes are green and ours all brown. I just hope they stay that color, I love em.

One of these things just doesn't belong

I was originally taking a picture of Faye's ridiculous long lashes because I put mascara on her. Those are REAL, and unfortunately, so are her brows. When she gets older she is going to have to do some serious tweezing. Daphne's picture makes me laugh so hard, she looks like some sort of animal. And I look like I have a huge nose! close ups are not my friend. So, who doesn't belong?

DE PLANE, DE PLANE!

Could Tatoo still truly be alive... incognito? hmmmm. The resemblence is quite uncanny, even down to the dimpled bum-chin. Talk amongst yaselves.

25 Random Things from Facebook: (thought I changed number 25)

2. I reuse almost anything I can. Not because i'm trying to save the world, but because i'm cheap! Really I jus don't like to waste things. I've always re-used plastic bags, and I have a pile of papers with the back of them just waiting to be used/colored on. I also like to use re-use things or transform them into something new. I am currently turning some old cupboard doors into cork boards for all my kids artwork. I was GREEN before it was cool.

8. I once called Cascade Springs "Barbie Paradise". (because of the mini-water falls... ya know, "barbie-size")
9. I designed my elementary school flag. GO ORCHARD EAGLES!
10. I am married to my sisters husbands brother. We keep it in the family.
11. I knew since high school I wanted to name my little girl Faye. Faye means fairy in french, and I have loved fairies since I was little. The Dark Crystal and Labrynth were my fav movies (other than Peewee)
12. I used to hate dark chocolate, now I prefer it.
13. I love Fresh berries, especially blueberries, but don't buy them very much, because, again, i'm cheap.

15. I had really blonde hair until I was about 4.
16. I won 10th place in my elementary school pentathalon (you may say 10th place isn't that great, but if you know me this is hilarious, I am SO not athletic).
17. As a baby I was blessed by Neil Diamond. (aka: my dad)
18. I always loved to draw and when i was little said I wanted to be "an artist" when I grew up. Little did I know that meant "broke".
